Jayy Tonkin, originally from Sydney, Australia, began his fighting career at the young age of 15 - “I was always getting angry, always fighting in school” Jayy explains.
“My friends took me to a Muay Thai gym & I was in it from day one. I started training like crazy and my fighting stopped on the pitch, it stopped in school”.
Jayy went on a family holiday to Thailand and had his first fight there. His father, David, fell in love with the place and decided he wanted to move there, asking Jayy if he wanted to go with him.
Jayy’s debut fight was on Phuket Island, against a 22 year old English lad. He won the fight by a round 2 KO.

Jayy has fought in many countries around the world, including Thailand, China, Russia, Singapore, and Australia.
Jayy is currently the WBC Australian Middleweight Champion (72.5kg) after winning his 50th professional fight against the former WBC Champion, Matt Webb.
